Six Dishes that Made Our Denver Diner Famous – Best Food In Denver

At Sam’s, we’ve been around for a while. Since 1927, to be exact and our family has always been dedicated to creating the best food in Denver. But there are definitely some dishes that we’re better known for than others. They were even featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives! Here’s what made our Denver diner famous.

  • Kitchen Sink Burrito

As in “everything but the…” Our Kitchen Sink Burrito features fluffy scrambled farm-fresh eggs, diced, ham, sausage, bacon, red onion, tomato, bell pepper, mushrooms—everything you’d expect from a great breakfast burrito, but we also add our house-made gyro meat and top it with cheddar cheese and green chili.

  • Veggie Omelet

We know that some diners aren’t fans of breakfast meets and our veggie omelet answers their call for a filling breakfast. This massive 4-egg omelet is packed with onion, spinach, mushrooms, bell pepper, and tomato. Then, it’s topped with swiss cheese. It’s a favorite at our Denver diner and has been for years.

  • Green Chili Mexi-Burger

Nothing beats a burger save for one topped with a generous helping of our Kickin’ Pork Green Chili. Our Mexi-Burger is wrapped in a flour tortilla with a smear of refried beans and covered in sharp cheddar.

  • Red No. 3 Chili Burger

Our Red No. 3 Chili Burger is our take on the classic American chili burger. We cover a freshly ground patty with our house red chili, top it with diced onions, and a thick slice of American cheese. You also get a side of extra chili for those die-hard chili lovers.

  • One of Each

Feeling extra hungry? Order the One of Each. You’ll get our Curtis Burger (a ¼ pound patty covered in our red chili and topped with diced onions) and a classic Coney Dog (served with a hint of the same red chili, mustard, and onion). If you want it cheesy, order a Cheesy One of Each.

  • Kickin’ Green Chili

We’ve been making green chili for decades, but we changed the standard recipe and added a LOT more kick. This spicy concoction uses New Mexico Certified Green Chile and features seasoned pork for added oomph. Pork not your thing? Don’t worry—we have a vegetarian version, too! It’s just as flavorful as the original.
