We know what you’re thinking. Sam’s No. 3 is the place for green chili, breakfast burritos, burgers, and plates that arrive ready to handle a serious appetite.
But a salad? Absolutely.
We do not treat salads like a few leaves tossed onto a plate because somebody at the table wanted to “keep it light.” Our salads bring plenty of fresh ingredients, bold toppings, satisfying proteins, and enough personality to stand proudly beside everything else on our menu.
These Are Not Sad Desk Salads
A good salad should leave you satisfied, not wondering what else you are going to eat afterward.
Our Chef Salad gets straight to business with turkey, ham, American and Swiss cheese, cucumber, tomato, and a boiled egg. Mr. Sam’s Cobb goes even bigger, adding chopped bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, black olives, and fresh avocado to the mix.
Then there is the Fried Chicken Breast Salad, which tops mixed greens with fried chicken, red onion, Jack cheese, and a slice of bacon. Is it the lightest salad ever created? Probably not. Is it delicious? That is the more important question.
Turn Up the Heat
For anyone who likes a little Southwestern flavor, we have several salads that refuse to play it safe.
The Taco Fiesta Salad combines mixed lettuce, black olives, cheddar, tomato, guacamole, and corn tortilla chips with salsa and a side of our Kickin’ Pork Green Chili. Order it without meat or add spicy taco meat or grilled chicken breast.
Our Southwestern Chicken Salad brings grilled chicken together with mixed lettuce, diced jalapeños, black olives, tomato, cheddar, Jack cheese, guacamole, and more Kickin’ Pork Green Chili on the side.
It is fresh. It is filling. It has actual flavor. Lettuce has never been asked to work this hard.
Steak Belongs on Salad Too
Sometimes you want a salad. Sometimes you want steak. We see no reason to choose.
The Cowboy Caesar starts with romaine, croutons, Parmesan, and Caesar dressing, then adds grilled steak, red onion, tomato, and bleu cheese crumbles. It is a Caesar salad wearing cowboy boots, and it pulls off the look.
Our Pecan Steak Mushroom Salad takes another route with grilled and sliced steak, mixed lettuce, red onion, tomato, sautéed mushrooms, pecans, and Greek vinaigrette. It is savory, crunchy, and hearty enough to make the burger section nervous.
Go Greek with Mom’s Favorite
Our Greek roots have been part of Sam’s No. 3 since the beginning, so naturally, we take Greek salad seriously.
Mom’s Greek Salad features mixed lettuce, bell pepper, red onion, cucumber, tomato, pepperoncini, Greek olives, and feta. It comes with Mom’s Greek vinaigrette and grilled pita. You can enjoy it as-is or add grilled steak, chicken breast, gyro meat, chicken souvlaki, or pork souvlaki.
For something smaller, try the Mini Greek Salad. We also offer a Dinner Village Salad with cucumber, tomato, feta, Kalamata olives, and Greek vinaigrette—no lettuce required.
Come Hungry for a Salad in Denver
You do not have to order a towering breakfast burrito every time you visit Sam’s No. 3. You could order a colorful Summer Spinach Salad with berries, bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, and balsamic vinaigrette. You could pair a dinner salad with soup or chili. You could even add a side salad to your sandwich and call that balance.
The point is, our salad menu has range.
Stop by Sam’s No. 3 and order something crisp, loaded, spicy, Greek, cheesy, chicken-topped, or steak-covered. Around here, salad is never the boring choice.
