Some breakfast burritos are designed to be eaten neatly with one hand.

Ours are designed to arrive smothered, covered in cheese, and ready to require a fork.

At Sam’s No. 3, we believe a breakfast burrito should be more than eggs folded into a tortilla and sent on its way. It should be hot, hearty, loaded with flavor, and topped with enough green chile to make every bite count. For anyone searching for the best breakfast burrito in Denver, Sam’s No. 3 is an excellent place to start.

Spero’s Burrito Sets the Standard

Our classic Spero’s Burrito begins with eggs and home fries wrapped inside a flour tortilla. Then comes the part green chile lovers have been waiting for: the whole thing is smothered in our famous Kickin’ Pork Green Chili and topped with melted cheddar.

It is simple enough to let every ingredient do its job, but substantial enough to keep hunger from bothering you again anytime soon.

Want to make it even heartier? Add diced ham, bacon, or sausage. You can also trade the home fries for hash browns, tater tots, or French fries. A breakfast burrito with tater tots inside may not be traditional, but we have never been overly concerned with being predictable.

One Burrito Is Only the Beginning

Spero’s may be the original, but our breakfast burrito menu does not stop there. Not even close.

The Avalanche Burrito adds bacon, onion, and bell peppers. The Denver Burrito brings diced ham, onion, and green pepper to the party. For serious appetites, the Burrito Supreme is packed with ham, bacon, sausage, and gyro meat.

Then there is El Gordo, a four-egg version of the Burrito Supreme that does not understand the meaning of “small breakfast.”

Green chile fans can also take things further with the Rockies Burrito. It starts with Spero’s Burrito and adds two chile rellenos inside. Yes, inside. We looked at an already satisfying breakfast burrito and decided it needed more breakfast burrito.

Bring on the Heat

Our Kickin’ Pork Green Chili is not an afterthought spooned onto the plate at the last second. It is part of what makes these burritos unmistakably Sam’s.

The green chile adds warmth, richness, and just enough kick to wake up the eggs, potatoes, meat, and melted cheese underneath. It ties everything together and turns a basic breakfast into the kind of meal you think about again before lunchtime.

The Macho Burrito turns up the flavor with chorizo, onion, tomato, jalapeño, and Jack cheese. The Border Burrito combines pork barbacoa, eggs, and tater tots before being smothered in Kickin’ Pork Green Chili and finished with cotija cheese and avocado.

For meat-free diners, the Vegetarian Burrito comes with onion, tomato, green pepper, mushrooms, and spinach, then gets topped with vegetarian green chili and Jack cheese.

Breakfast Burritos Whenever the Craving Hits

There is no need to race the clock for one of our breakfast burritos. We serve breakfast all day, every day.

That means you can stop in for a classic morning meal, order a green chile-covered burrito for lunch, or have breakfast for dinner because the day has already asked enough of you.

Come hungry, choose your burrito, and prepare to use a fork. The best breakfast burrito in Denver should not be afraid to get a little messy—and neither should you.
