Fourth of July Favorites at Sam’s No. 3 Diner in Denver

Can you believe that summer is really here? Neither can we. It feels like we were just shoveling snow off the sidewalk yesterday. And summer means Fourth of July and all the festivities that the day entails is just around the corner. Sure, you can have a backyard barbecue in the evening while you wait for the fireworks, but you’re still going to need to eat earlier in the day. And your favorite Denver diner is here to help!

Yes, we’ll be closing early on the Fourth of July, but you can still stop by during lunch to enjoy your favorite American classics. Or, if you feel like celebrating the day before or after, there’s that option too. Try these tried and true favorites for a festive (and delicious) Fourth of July week!

One of Each

Let’s be honest…choosing between a hot dog and a burger is an unfair thing to ask yourself to do. Luckily for you, if you’re grabbing a bite at Denver’s best diner, you don’t have to choose! Get the best of both worlds by ordering the One of Each. You’ll get a tasty quarter pound burger smothered in our house made red chili, mustard, and fresh onion. Alongside it, you’ll get a perfectly cooked Coney dog. It’s the best of both worlds and pairs perfectly with one of our many local craft beers on tap.

Fried Chicken Breast Sandwich

Nothing says “America” like fried chicken. But have you ever tried to make it yourself? Talk about a disaster in the kitchen. Flour goes everywhere, oil manages to coat every surface around the stove, and you can expect to get at least one burn in the process. We’ll save you the third degree oil burns by frying up a juicy chicken breast. It’s served on a lightly sweet and decadently buttery brioche bun and topped with melted Swiss cheese. Need a bit of a kick? Ask for wing sauce!

Shamrock Burger

Okay, so it’s not distinctly American. But it IS distinctly Coloradoan. This Mile-High burger starts with our fresh ground beef patty grilled to order. We then top it with everything that makes a Rueben sandwich so delicious: corned beef, sauerkraut, Russian dressing, and melted swiss cheese. But we don’t stop there. You’ll get the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles you expect from a traditional burger at your favorite Denver diner! Finish it off with a classic cocktail and you’ll be set for a fantastic holiday.
